Let’s Golf - a mini golf game

This project has enabled me to showcase the skills and knowledge I have developed throughout the course. I chose to experiment with the different physics components with the Unity game engine.

The starting point for this project was a golf ball which could be hit which developed into a fully functional mini golf game. Overall, the experience on the course throughout 2 years was positive as I strengthened my understanding of game development as well as learnt how to successfully make several projects using the skills and techniques I acquired along the way.

Outside of college I am working on a new project with a classmate.

Let’s Golf!

A single-player physics-based mini golf game. The player controls the golf ball through a third-person perspective.

The aim is for the player to progress through the numerous holes in the least shots possible to accumulate the largest reward. With the rewards at the end of the course, players can purchase new items which is a visual display of their skills.

The project will have similarities to titles such as Golf With Friends and Golf It! including a power bar that determines how much force the player wishes to put into the ball, realistic ball physics and an enjoyable gameplay experience.
