The project aims to give an insight into the secret lives of animals in the form of an acronym picture book. The medium I chose was a combination of pen line art and digital painting. I would sketch my line art in pencil whilst referencing a series of images, refine the lines in ink, and then extract the line art onto a software called ibisPaint X before colouring and adding effects digitally. What inspired the project was my natural fascination for nature and its underestimated complexity. This project has been my favourite as it has given me the opportunity to work with a topic I love and passionately create with a combination of my favourite mediums. My time with Sussex Downs College has been an amazing learning experience. It has helped me to further develop my skills in bringing more life into my illustrations. This year, I am progressing to Greater Brighton Metropolitan College, in Worthing, to study BA (Hons) Illustration.
