The title for my Final Major Project was ‘Out of place’ At the start of the project I looked at surrealist artists like Salvador Dali and Sarah Lucas, and how they played with your mind using juxtaposition. I liked how Sarah Lucas created visual puns and rude humour with her work and wanted to continue this myself, this led me to look at Cockney Rhyming slang. For my final piece I took slang phrases and created an image with them using unusual and weird props which I made. Overall the course has been a great year as I’ve learnt so many new techniques and got to explore new skills.
