This project used a range of different forms, patterns, textures and colours used with architectural detail. I started with collecting a broad range of research which I then developed my photos into patterns. I chose to experiment with embroidery, screen printing, materials and colours. I decided to do a screen print on cotton fabric of a geometric design inspired from a blue silicon tile pattern, from an outside shower on Eastbourne Beach. This gave a sharp and distinctive image which would be best displayed as a Kimono as it didn’t interfere on the geometric pattern to any great extent. My favourite project is the Communication project which I used visual signs such as road signs and danger signs. I took pattern and shape from these which I then created a wall hanging of a Typhoon to communicate planes.
