In my FMP, titled “Dress Code”, I looked at everything from traditional black tie to codes hidden in WW2 tapestries. Eventually I landed on punk and its strong relation to tartan. I decided that I wanted to test how strong this relation was, so I created my own tartan prints and then developed these into a garment that would never traditionally be associated with the punk aesthetic. Over my time on the course I have improved my understanding of the design process. I enjoy practically testing and experimenting throughout each project. I have now also secured a place at Kingston University to study on the BA(HONS) Fashion course.
