My project (nature in the built environment: public space design) deals with the issues and problems of the lack of communal spaces and nature in city and town areas. My starting point was to make a modern looking seating and gathering area that introduced wild plants and trees into cites to improve health and mental well-being and overall attractiveness to the areas. I chose to experiment with 3D materials, but mostly wood as its more flexible for the more circular structures I made. My process changed a lot over the topic, with my final result being a 3 page design sheet series showing all aspects of my more Victorian inspired wild looking public space. My original idea was going to be modern, white cement with more angular shapes and well kept plants.
