My name is Luca and I’m currently playing drums and collaborating in a group, this project has enabled me to experience what it’s like playing in a band and performing live music in front of audiences. I have chosen to experiment with different drumming styles in music and stage presence when performing live, the starting point for this project was to research into various drummers and their ways of playing. I am most interested in John Bonham triplets as I like the sound they make especially in fills. I used these techniques when performing on stage and it boosted my confidence whilst playing. I also used equipment I have never used before on this course such as, Logic, Drum mics, Hot rods, brushes. Overall I have enjoyed the course and I feel I have learnt a lot, especially in the studio, and I am looking forward to starting the second year where I can hopefully progress further into the field of music.
