UAL: University of the Arts London Extended Diploma
The project has enabled me to learn about coding and making games on a professional level.
I have chosen to experiment with animation and interesting game mechanics. The starting point for this project was planning. I am interested in how games are made with a team of people. I used these techniques, coding, animation and pixel art.
I used Unity to make my game and I used Aseprite for the art and animations in the game.
Overall my experience on this course was fun and I feel I have learnt a lot since September.
Runnin’ ‘n Gunnin’
A 2D platformer shooter where you fight against multiple turret-style enemies.
My main inspiration was a game called ‘Broforce’ and I wanted to incorporate complex physics to make my game more playable.
The story goes like this…The protagonist’s daughter has been kidnapped by an evil baddie and with nothing more than a trusty machine gun and grappling hook it’s time to go kick some butt!
