Since starting the Foundation course in September, I have learnt many different techniques and processes that I had never heard of before and it opened my mind to new possibilities and skills which I will use in the future as I move onto university. Personally, I found the tutors' support throughout this course really helped me to discover what to specialise in and my next steps after completion.

“Craftivism” This project deals with the continuous issues surrounding sexual harassment through the form of a sewing kit. The starting point for this project was broadly researching Craftivism and different ways people have approached activism throughout history. I chose to experiment with a wide range of techniques and media that I felt could best represent my subject matter, such as cross stitch, printing, calligraphy and many more. I settled on heat press and screen printing as well as embroidery because I felt they were the most effective way to illustrate the issues I wanted to present.
