The course opened me up to many new processes and working methods as well as offering guidance and support in pursuing the next step. I tried techniques I have never heard of before and perfected those I had within a very supportive, encouraging and welcoming environment.

My FMP was called - Damfino: The Boat The starting point for this project was the centenary of the Buster Keaton short film “The Boat”. I chose to experiment with costume design through printmaking, combining modern performance costumes with historical design to create the wardrobe for a ballet remake of the film. I was interested in the concept of the dancers using their costumes to build an interactive and mobile set.
